We had a GREAT Spring Break! Grandy and Nanna came in on Tues and spent the week with us. It was really nice to have them here with us! We are grateful to them for taking their time off and spending hours on the road to come visit us. The days flew by and we filled them.
We went over to see Millie. She seemed to be doing good. Her memory gets a little worse each time we see her but otherwise she is really doing well (especially since she will be 87 next week!) Notice her sitting in the wheelchair. She pushes it wherever she goes and then uses it as a chair once she gets there. She may not remember some things but there is one thing she always remembers and that is “little” Millie’s name. She makes sure to tell everyone there that Millie is named after her and they all tell us she has big shoes to fill and they are right. I pray she has the precious giving heart and gentle spirit and most of all the Godliness of her namesake. We (I mean A and his little assistants) did yard work. We have so much yard work to be done and Nanna and Grandy brought us some iris and lily bulbs so we removed some shrubs that that needed to go and planted the bulbs. Still a lot to be done but it was a start.
The girls loved playing outside and in the DIRT!
Can you tell who likes dirt best?
We read books
We made cookiesPlayed dodge ball with Nanna and Grandy (notice Lizzie!)
Hilarious picture!
We shopped-which means new spring clothes! The girls love clothes and I am so thankful!
Elleigh left for the beach on Wednesday. She had a great time too! She got to lay on the beach and play putt putt and get Starbucks a lot and eat good seafood and the list goes on! On Saturday they went out deep sea fishing. That was NOT so fun for her! They went 2 hours out into the water and the wind was really bad and she got very sick. Thankfully they were on a private yacht so there was air conditioning and a bed for her to lay down. She threw up a good bit. You can tell from the picture here that she is a little “green” I did not like the thought of my baby being sick without her mama! She was OK though after they got back to land. They said she was a trooper and kept getting up to give it another try. She said this pic was right before she threw up! Not sure she could be convinced to go again but she probably would. The family she was with has been a lot and they said this was worse than normal.
Too bad it all had to end! Now back to reality! I am thankful for the relaxing week which we all needed and we are looking forward to summer!!!
