Just a normal Monday at DFW except for the fact that I dropped off my 12 year old and my man to fly to Africa! What was I thinking? HA!

Have I ever mentioned how much I love these 2 people??? I have a feeling that I will love them even more when I see them in 2 weeks! They will be in flight for about 24 hours plus layovers so it will be a few days before they are actually on the field. Elleigh put her on some comfy clothes for the flight. She has to wear dresses once they are on the field.

We can never say thank you enough to everyone who made this possible for them. There are so many who have given in so many ways-financially, gifts of encouragement, your gifts of so many things that were needed for their travels, your prayers, and the list goes on and on. God has shown Himself over and over to us through this already and I know this is only the beginning. All the preparation is over, now it is time for them to do what God has called them to do!

OK, now I'm sobbing! LOL I've never seen more pitiful faces than those of Lizzy & Millie in this pic! I LOVE Elleigh's comfy clothes...she is just too cute... and I know this doesn't help, but she really looks "growny"! Did you color coordinate her and Aaron? I already sent you an email, but just wanted you to know that y'all have been in my thoughts and prayers all day and will continue to be so!

They do look sad don't they (and slightly confused!) I know she does look growny-she is growny. I am thinking she will be even more growny when she gets back. She loves her journal! That was so sweet of you! No I did not color coordinate them! HA! I am quite good at that though and although a lot of times I do it on purpose sometimes I don't! Our old youth group still laughs at me matching everybody! Thank you so much Shannon for your prayers and encouragement! It means so much to all of us! LOVE YOU!
We are praying for you too... I can't imagine sending my first daughter off to another country without me! But I bet you are grateful for this opportunity she has nonetheless.
if you look close at the time i missed by about an hour. we had no internet when we first got here, but this morning we do. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAUTIFUL!! I hate i missed it yesterday. I tried several places. All is well here. 3 days of travel have left us tired, but Ostrich steak last night did seem to help. we currently have no power and Elleigh has not seen a blow dryer in a few days. we are here safe and starting out our day though we are not sure what time it is. i have gotten 3 different times from two different clocks and then a lady who works here, but my watch is still US time so i know what time it is there. well gotta go. love you all and i will try to find out when we will be able to contact you.

I started reading your blog, not long after I learned that their was a problem with my pregnancy, I have just realized that I could write back!(I am quite the computer genious!) I want you to know that I found so much comfort in your blog each and everday, not to mention the card that you sent me. The day that I got your card, it was right on time, beacause I was having a tough time with everthing. I will pray for Aaron&Elleigh and their safe return, as well as you and the other girls.

Thank you so much for commenting and telling me that. I wanted to send you a note to let you know that we were praying for you and hopefully to provide some encouragement. I know that there are so many times when things seem almost unbearable and then those little types of encouragement come just at the right time and make such a difference. I love you and we are continuing to pray for you as you process everything that has happened in such a short time.
